Giving back
In 2020 and 2021 Beach Yoga offered free online yoga classes during lockdowns (6 classes a week). to support the emotional wellbeing of whoever needed it. Most of these classes are still available from Monica's YouTube and Beach Yoga Facebook page.
Always free Families
Families can bring their children (under the age of 16) for free to beach yoga. This is to give families a chance to bond, and to grow healthy mind and body.
We offer a free yoga pass on your birthday,
Yoga Bear books and Cards
We have distributed more than 200 books to schools in underprivileged areas around the world. If you are able to take one or more books to an underprivileged school in any country, we would love to support you. We love children and we want them all to be healthy and well. This is a small way we can support the emotional development to help families and schools move towards empowerment.
Wellness Presentations
For 4 years we offered free presentations on wellness with local therapists to learn a little bit about their modality. Please click here for details.

Every year we donate bags and items. In 2019 we held a fundraiser for Share the Dignity who help women at risk.
Feed the Homeless in Redcliffe
Sunday 1st June 2014 we hosted a Yoga class, BBQ and beach sale to raise $245 for Feed the Homeless in Redcliffe.
Thank you to everyone that came to donate items, sell items, cook breakfast, eat breakfast, for letting us ride on your motorbike, to play laugh and have fun. It was a beautiful morning for a wonderful cause. Thank you so much.
Schooling in Nepal
Louise Kirk raised funds to take to Nepal to help build a school for a small village. Louise tracked her journey on her her photography page Drawing with Light.
African Dream
Philanthropist Peggy McDaniel got our yoga team together and raise some funds to send back packs and school items to an orphanage in Africa. Peggy became close to a young man Julius Korir who was supporting several young orphans and their education, as she travelled through Africa. Many of our yoga friends donated back packs, school items and money through a morning tea. Peggy said the kids were 'so excited' when their package arrived.
Schooling in Fiji
In May 2013 our Yoga team was arranging to visit Jacki and Roger who were living in Fiji. Travel agent Karen Christie asked if we would like to support Deuba District school with school supplies and raise funds for a library. Morning tea raised $300 and Lisa suggested, 'why don't we have a garage sale?'
Out came boxes and loads of 'stuff.' Another $700 was raised. We packed soccer balls, pencils and lots of other items into our suitcases and headed off with Karen to sunny Fiji to practice yoga, have fun, and offer service.
The kids at the school sang songs, hopped like kangaroos and were generally adorable. Their mums made us a delicious morning tea with fresh coconuts, fruit and fried patties.
Karen Christie continues to support Deuba District school as plans are underway to build a new school, and connect a generator so they can have electricity.
Leonie buys a camera to support a family
One of our dear yoga friends, Leonie, took a collection to raise money to buy a camera for Fijian friend Aquila; who has a passion for photography. We met Aquila on our yoga holiday in Fiji and he took beautiful photographs with other peoples cameras. Buying a camera on Fijian wages was near impossible. With support from the Simply Yoga team, Leonie has purchased a digital Canon and Aquila will be snapping away soon. We hope this helps him build his dream of being a photographer and supporting his family.
